Lacing

We used our dyed noodles to make necklaces. Supplies needed:
dyed noodles, string of some sorts (we used yarn), a clothespin (we used a heart-shaped one), and a blunt plastic needle.

C (22mo.) was able to string the pasta on as I held the needle. I think if we used a shorter pasta that she could have done it without my help. M did it with no problem (almost 3).

Birds Nest

Supplies:
Nest: brown paper bag, paper shredder (or just cut it yourself), craft glue (we used mod podge) elmers would work fine.
Eggs: wooden eggs, food coloring, rubbing alcohol

To make this we covered a bowl in seran wrap. Shredded a brown paper grocery bag (mom did that part). Then you guys put all the paper in a bowl of mod podge and covered the bowl with it. We let it dry for a couple of days.
.
To make the eggs: We put them in plastic bags and added food coloring, and then added a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol to set the colors.

I'm liking the idea of a monthly nature table in our home. So we grabbed some of these budding branches from Pop's backyard, walnuts from his walnut tree and put them in a vase and had our birds nest out.
